History of Showers of Blessing Ministries

Showers of Blessing Ministries was begun through evangelism with a small group of Christian believers.  The believers gathered weekly for prayer and Bible study.  By the leading of the Holy Spirit, the believers confirmed the work of the ministry through mission and outreach endeavors via church, tent and street revivals, and a radio broadcast. Because of the tremendous growth and attendance, a larger facility was required. The vision was made visible through massive renovations, financial giving, and faith at 2753 Greenwood Road in Shreveport, Louisiana.  The first service was held Sunday, November 13, 1988; and the church was named according to the inspired Holy Scripture found in Ezekiel 34:26 (KJV): “And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be SHOWERS OF BLESSING.”

Showers of Blessing Ministries has been an active ministry for over 28 years under the leadership of Bishop/Dr. Ruby Pedescleaux.  The ministry offers biblical teaching and training for youth, adults, and those in the Five-fold ministry; and it helps to train and establish ministries nationally and internationally.  As a nonprofit, accredited 501(c) 3 organization which oversees 21 active outreach ministries; it offers performing arts through music and dance, public service projects through missions and evangelism, youth and adult academic tutorial service, and self-help workshops in an effort to enhance the surrounding community.  Its vast 15 acre properties with buildings and facilities accommodate the present purpose and future fulfillment of the ministry’s vision.
